Benz 190E 2.5-16 Evolution-1 AMG Powerpack. Concours Condition.
With the BMW M3 Sport Evolution was released for DTM homologation, Mercedes Benz responded in March 1989 with the 190 E 2.5-16 Evolution debuted at the Geneva Auto Show to enthusiastic acclaim. Because these were only built for homologation, at great cost to Mercedes they were only ever supplied in LHD. The vast majority were sold by MB directly to eager owners in Germany. The Evo I, as it came to be called had a new larger spoiler and a w [ read more... ]

Alfa Romeo GTV 3.0 24V Coupe - Stunning, completely corrosion free & pristine example.
The Alfa Romeo GTV (Gran Turismo Veloce) was originally first designed as far back as 1987 as a replacement for the Alfetta GTV Coupe. Appearing at first with smaller engines, it was in 1998 that the 3.0 24V V6 Busso engine variant was introduced with a 6-speed manual gearbox and this was the year that Jeremy Clarkson declared his love for it. Car Magazine in the UK also had strong praise for this model and many other publications gave it strong accolades, especially in 1995, when it was first released to the public. The Busso engine has always been a thing of beauty in Alfa Romeos, not just to look at, but for its sound and wide spread of torque and power. It still remains an engine that evokes emotion in Alfa Romeo enthusiasts, decades af [ read more... ]

Volvo V70R - Phase 3 model. 4WD 2.4L 20V Turbo 265 bhp. Super low mileage. Perfection.
Launched in May 1997 to replace the outgoing & much-revered 850R, the V70R is considered by those who know to be one of the best fast estates of the ’90s. These are capable of offering a long service life with high mileages and reliability if well maintained. A sign of good design is a shape that doesn't age over time but always looks fresh. This was the last Volvo designed by Volvo before Ford bought the company...There's a very interesting article, examined through its adverts, which charter Volvo's performance & safety branding and what happened after this model was released. V70R Phase 1 model. 4WD 2.4 20V Turbo 240 bhp. Rare Saffron Metallic. Stunning Original Example.
Launched in May 1997 to replace the outgoing 850R, the V70R is considered by those who know, to be one of the best fast estates of the ’90s, capable of offering a long service life with high mileage and reliability if well maintained. None of the usual Q-car manufacturers had expected Volvo to make a very fast 4WD estate (To replace the FWD 850R), but the perhaps entertaining truth found by those who challenged it was that this model was capable of embarrassing other seemingly fast cars, whether on typically damp UK country roads or on Motorways. To this day the Volvo V70R AWD remains a superb & versatile performance car capable of handling anything from the weekly shop, to being used as a car for business, offering tough, reliable spac [ read more... ]

Celica GT-4 Final Revision Model. Stunning Condition Throughout.
Created to compete in the World Rally Championship, regulations stated that Toyota had to build road-going versions of their Group A rally car (2500 units). The GT-Four is referred to as a "homologation special". Truly a rally car for the road.In 1995 Toyota Europe was caught using illegal turbo restrictors at the Rally Catalunya and were given a one-year ban. The FIA president called the illegal turbo restrictor "the most sophisticated device seen in his 30 years of motorsports." Sadly this meant the factory rally team's ultimate demise and Toyota didn't re-invest in rally championships until over a decade later. This meant the GT-4 didn't go on to be made in as high numbers as other manufacturer's rally fugitive models, but the final resul [ read more... ]

Integra Type R Final Edition (C Package). Stunning Example - Garaged from New.
Every self-respecting car enthusiast respects the Honda Integra Type R. The latter-day DC5 is a lesser-known quantity: unlike its older sibling the DC2, it was only officially made for the Japanese market and is a rare sight on the U.K.’s roads. Being the replacement, the DC2's successor was larger and more practical, more powerful and endowed with newer technology to make it arguably a better all-rounder. Honda had gathered a team of ex-F1 engineers to develop and engineer the replacement with chunkier styling, an expanded 2.0-litre engine and a close ratio gearbox with six speeds. There was just one major upgrade in the DC5's lifetime, from September 2004: A front- and rear-end restyle featuring new squared-off lights with auto-levellin [ read more... ]

205 GTi 1.9 - Phase 1.5. 100% rust free since new. Stunning example direct from Japan.
The 205 1.9 GTi needs no introduction to anybody who was a car enthusiast in the 1980's & 90's in Europe. Back then, magazines all held this little Peugeot in the highest regard for it's immensely entertaining handling abilities whilst being able to provide fast progress from A to B. Never a dull journey. Despite being a small car, it's design meant it was practical to use, whilst being attractive to look at. In hot hatch terms this was the truest legend, which has never since been bettered by Peugeot, despite 5 or more subsequent attempts.... after the 205's iconic greatness, it has always been easy to forget nostalgic interests in it's younger siblings by comparison. Weighing only 880k [ read more... ]

Peugeot 309 GTI 1.9 Phase 2. Stunning Condition. Zero Rust Since New!
Hot hatches were first introduced to the masses by Volkswagen with the Golf GTi 1.6. This had the effect of kick-starting an entirely new enthusiast sector and in response, competing manufacturers eagerly joined the race to produce the most entertaining and capable hot hatches.Of all the 80's nostalgic cars possibly the most unforgettable icons that ruled the roads then was the Peugeot’s 205 2.9 GTI, but back in the day, its bigger brother the 309 GTI was considered by all magazine road testers, to be the more capable all-rounder and they made no bones about it. Better balanced dynamically, more spacious and equally as much fun to drive, the 309 GTI is today by far the rarer sibling. The handling was enhanced by a slightly longer wheelbase, [ read more... ]

Impreza 22B Tribute by Launsport, Japan. One of the last built!

The 22B was used to commemorate both Subaru's 40th anniversary as well as the third consecutive manufacturer's title for Subaru in the FIA World Rally Championship. All 413 Japanese cars sold immediately and of these, only 24 units were produced for export markets: 16 for the UK, 5 for Australia and 3 prototypes. Approximately 50 of the Japanese cars were imported privately into the UK. There are currently only 51 original 22Bs on DVLA's records.Today the 22B sits as the undisputed icon of all classic imprezas and is a car that invokes a special nostalgia when spotted by Japanese car & WRC ra [ read more... ]

Volkswagen Golf GTi 16v Mk. II. Like new condition throughout, freshly imported from Japan
Most hot hatch enthusiasts whose adolescence was spent in the 1980's will remember when the 16V Golf GTi's were first introduced, as a replacement for the original Mk. 1 Golf GTi's, which were the very first true FWD hot hatches. The Mk 2 Golf GTi 16V was not only better built than it's older sibling, but now had a whisker under 140 bhp with better breathing courtesy of the 16V twin cam head, to cope with an increase in weight of 120kg.
