This GT-R has been improved with stage 1 tuning to give it approximately 370 bhp yet still allow it to remain easily drivable and usable for every day use. As one of the last R32 GT-R's produced, this is a low genuine mileage example with excellent spec! It's also of very low genuine mileage - so there's plenty of life left in this top example of an R32 GT-R Skyline.
Aesthetic improvements: A full set of probably the most sought after alloys on a Skyline - adourn this car. BBS LM2 2 piece forged lightweight alloy wheels of size 17" with nearly new Yokohama Advan Neuva tyres (size 245/40/ZR17) fitted at each corner. Performance Improvements: Whilst not stressing the engine excessively and allowing it to remain drivable as a daily use car, this GT-R has had mild modifications to enhance it. Suspension coilovers are made by Cusco and are fully adjustable. Front strut brace is also Cusco, rear strut brace is a carbon fibre unit. The Hicas 4WS has been removed to give better driver control at higher speeds, with a Hicas removal kit fitted. To the right of the steering column, there's a toggle switch than can be used to switch off the Atessa 4WD system to make the car RWD only (Note - ABS will not work when this is employed). This can be used when the driver wants to drift, or to do a burnout on the drag strip, with the 4WD re-employed without needing to switch off and retart the engine.
Neatly mounted on the A Pilar is a pod with an Apexi boost gauge. The clutch has been recently uprated to a heavy duty item. Feels like a paddle type, as it's noiseless and easy to use only slightly sharper than a std. unit. Sasy to use in stop-start traffic. A pair of HKS Direct Drive induction filters have replaced the standard airbox. The intercooler is an ARC uprated unit, fed through Cusco alloy intercooler pipes. The inlet manifold has also been stripped to bare alloy, presumably to match these intercooler pipes and further enhance the engine bay.
The boost is controlled by a 3rd generation HKS electronic unit. The exhaust system has been uprated with a high flow large bore stainless steel front pipe and a Top Secret Drag R exhaust from the cat back (A removable rear baffle is also included). ECU has been replaced with a Mines unit - one of the highest quality ECU's available in Japan. This can either be used as is - in the UK, combined with ignition timing retard to allow safe running in the UK, or to maximise performance, we are able to supply a catalyst replacement pipe inexpensively and an Apexi FC ECU complete with controller at low price of £565 incl. hand held FC controller (For further information click on www.neweraparts.com). Note that the brake discs have also been upgraded with cross drilled items.
Standard equipment includes: Climate Control A/C, PAS, Central Locking, ABS, rear wiper, velour seats, etc. This car has evidently been fastidiously maintained. The engine bay, seats, steering wheel, carpets, gear lever, indicator stalk, light switch, pedal rubbers, etc. - all indicate low wear. The driver's seat has no holes or badly worn fabric, as is usually found on examples that are not of genuine mileage.
Interior Condition: No hifi is included with this car, although throughtfully the last owner has left the fitting plates and wiring kit, so installing a UK hifi will be easy. There are some drink spillage marks on the passenger front floor mat.
Also, there are some light marks on the driver's seat. In any case, the interior is to be valetted, so these marks will be cleaned and the interior presented to high standard. Also, the boost controller is fixed to the top of the steering column trim with double sided tape. We will remove and replace the tape, to fit the unit neatly, or perhaps relocate it to a lower point, although for the purposes of adjustability on the move to be located on top of the steering column is a perfect position. Note: This has been a non smoker's car and so there are no cigarette burns or such damage to report.
Condition of exterior: As shown by pictures, it's excellent! There is some cracking of paint on the front bumper, by the grille and intercooler shroud and also some scratches to the o/s corner of the bumper. On the rear bumper there are 2 very small scratches. Also, on the rear quarter, lower corner there's an area of paint that's not of a good match - so we'll have this repainted to become perfect. There are photos to show each of these faults clearly - although all will be repaired professionally to present this car to our usual high standards on completion. Underneath, there is a dent on the two front jacking points (As is common on almost all GTR's!)The n/s/f wheel rim has asuperficial scratch. The other wheels are unmarked. The many photos of this car will show clearly this example was very carefully looked after, inside, outside and mechanically.
Engine: Excellent oil pressure (4/cm2 at idle when cold). Clutch feels as if it has plenty of life remaining (Standard unit). Brake discs are not worn much at all. We test drove this example for around 20 minutes drive and found it felt tight and very together. It pulls strongly from around 3,500 rpm all the way through the power range and is making approximately 370 bhp with current spec. Makes for a very quick road car!
This GT-R will be prepared by ourselves in our new workshop based just outside of Brighton, where our UK office is based.Note that we will retard the ignition in the UK to make this car safe for use on UK fuels with the Mines ECU, alternatively we can arrange to take the car to GT ART (GT-R Specialists) to have an (Apexi FC) ECU remap if supplied by us - for a small additional charge.
Total cost of modifications fitted to this car are approx. £6,000 excluding labour to fit, etc. This has been a one owner car since new. Clearly the last keeper polished it regularly to keep paintwork this good. All signs show this car has been well loved and modifications carefully selected to enhance the performance whilst remaining usable for daily driving - Expect this to be a very quick and fun car to drive with perfect poise and instant response.
