For about 5 years & from extensive experience sourcing these for over 16 years we've been predicting that 32 GT-R's were destined to become prized classics and In the last couple of years we have begun to see a sharp decline in availability in Japan of the best Skyline GT-Rs and a steady rise in values, especially for high spec. rust free examples. As they're increasingly desirable and demand is strongly exceeding supply we are seeing the best examples fetch increasingly higher & higher prices in Japan, making it very difficult to buy replacement stock. It's a no-brainer that prices in other countries will rise sharply in a short space of time too, especially as the US market has long been wanting to import these cars legally. Now the early examples are 25 years old, demand for these cars is skyrocketing...
The R32 GT-R is a playstation generation cult car and was built by Nissan to show off what it was capable of during the Japanese bubble economy and has now become a legend, sold only in Japan with a sprinkling of examples in Australia officially. Many are already dead from neglect, abuse and poor quality modifications so there are few really nice examples left, even in Japan.
This example is one of the best prepared we've had this year & has been beautifully preserved and considerably improved, not only externally, where the end result is stunning, but mechanically too. The interior is also well preserved and has been improved with very rare lightweight Carbon bucket seats by Wysteria, which are trimmed in Alcantara to match the original upholstery material. The result is not only stunning to look at, but these offer much improved support and excellent comfort over the standard R32 seats. Perfect for trackday & fast road use.
Drivetrain Performance improvements: Making approx 420 bhp this car is running a conservative 1.0 bar boost, currently. Power & handling have been improved to make a car that's as adept for attacking favourite country roads as marking it's presence at track events. A Tomei REYTEC standalone MAF-less ECU controls fueling for Nismo N1 turbos combined with an HKS EVC-S boost controller.
A Nismo in-tank fuel pump supplies increased fuel flow. Air is introduced via an HKS intercooler hard pipe kit through a Trust 2 layer intercooler and a Blitz Sus Power induction kit feeding through HKS MAF delete adaptors. Further cooling improvement is taken care of by a Blitz ZS racing aluminium radiator combined with silicone radiator hoses. Radiator air-flow is enhanced with a Trust cooling panel. There is also an HKS oil cooler kit with remote oil filter mount which includes a thermostat unit complete with full aero grade hose & attachments. Tomei Type B camshafts are fitted (In 260 / Out 260) using HKS vernier intake & exhaust pulleys, a Nismo timing belt & a clear HPI timing belt cover. Ignition is taken care of via a Top Secret ignition amplifier mount (For cooling of the amp), Splitfire coilpack set & HKS Iridium (8) racing plugs. Note also there is a Cusco oil catch tank fitted.
Exhaust tuning is via a Reimax stainless steel equal length front pipe, 5 Zigen sports pipe & a full titanium Advance custom exhaust system. A standard catalyst is also included (placed in the trunk).
Power is transmitted via a Nismo G-Max Twin plate clutch. The standard rear differential has been replaced with a Nismo GT LSD Pro (2 Way) and the differential cover replaced with a V-Spec finned unit. Note that Nismo differential bushes are also fitted. The shift movement is improved with the use of a C's (10%) short shift kit. A nismo oil filler cap completes the cosmetic presentation of the engine bay.
Wheels, Braking & suspension: Aragosta coilovers (which comprise some of the highest quality suspension available for a 32) are fitted with spring rates suited for fast road use (F: 10 kg/mm, R: 8 kg/mm). Cusco anti-roll bars are fitted to both front & rear, to provide completely flat cornering under hard use. Cusco upper arms (-5mm in length compared to original) provide increased camper and therefore front end grip. An "Essential" HICAS canceller kit is also fitted. To keep geometry stable under hard use, a set of KTS Traction spacers are fitted to the rear subframe mounts. All suspension arms, inclusive of harder Nismo bushes have replaced the originals. Sunline Racing Duramin Pillow Tension rods are also fitted. Wheels are CE28N forged lightweight items of 17 x 9.5 dimensions and fitted with good quality sports tyres. Cusco front & Apexi rear tower bars plus a Cusco front tension rod bar are included. Braking performance has been well enhanced with an R33 GT-R Brembo caliper conversion combined with with Nismo brake hoses and Dixcel BNR34 discs. Brake pads are Endless CC-R. In the engine bay there's a Cusco brake master cylinder stopper for improved pedal feel. Note that in the search for maximized engine cooling, the air conditioning system has been removed from this car.
Cosmetic Improvements: There's an HRD Carbon lip spoiler, N1 headlights, LED Tail light set (Original tail lights and white trims are also included with the car, placed in the trunk), plus a full Nismo body set consisting of: bumper mounted intercooler ducts, bonnet lip and (replica) side spats, rear spats & rear spoiler lip.
Interior Improvements: Wysteria RA-300C carbon fibre seats with matching trim to original 32 interior and complemented by super low position R32 Wysteria seat rails. A C's short shift kit improves feel of the transmission. An original option Nismo 260 km/h speedometer is also included and this is further supplemented by a Pivot Digital Speedometer. A Defi Link II controller is fitted to 4 Defi 60mm gauges displays turbo boost, water temperature, Oil temperature & oil pressure. There's a Blitz Turbo timer also fitted with controller for the HKS EVC-S boost controller. Superior CIA carbon look shift & hand-brake boots are fitted in combination with a carbon-fibre shift knob. A set of Razo pedal covers are also fitted. As with all the 32's we source, we have replaced floor mats with a new set from Nismo. A Nardi Classic steering wheel mounted to a short Nismo boss compliments the dashboard styling improvements.
Standard equipment includes: ABS, Atessa 4WD, Climate Control A/C, PAS, Central Locking, rear wiper, etc. This car has evidently been fastidiously maintained. The engine bay, interior, carpets, indicator stalk, pedal rubbers, oil pressure, etc - all indicate low wear and no abuse.
Interior Condition: This has been a non-smoker's car and interior condition is excellent throughout. Seats are all in excellent condition and it's notable the dashboard isn't as bubbled from exposure to strong sunlight over the years - as most examples are nowadays.
Exterior Condition: Note the body and underside are completely devoid of rust. Condition of all panels, paintwork and underside are first class. The cars evidently been polished regularly and despite the tuning work, it's not been driven hard - judging by the lack of stone chips. There's a few very minor faults to report - for the sake of complete description. These are: 2 small pin dents on n/s door, one small pin dent on crease line of front n/s wing, plus a small pin dent on the bonnet. Note also there is some minor discolouration of the gel coat on the HRD front lip spoiler. These are all insignificant faults, but to be complete we will have a dent specialist work on removing them completely whilst the car is undergoing final preparation at www.rktuning.com
Note that front and rear wheels - although the same size, are of a different shade of gold front / rear. These are to be refurbished in Gold, so they match perfectly and are supplied in as new condition - complete with new original RAYS CE28 stickers.
Engine & Test Drive: After careful warming and extensive checks we took this car out to test & can confirm it drives very, very well! It's got strong power and all signs of a well maintained car. Excellent oil pressure ((5kg/cm2 cold & 2.5 kg/m2 when warm) at idle shows this is a strong engine in good health. Engine has absolutely no signs of wear with strong oil pressure, it's super smooth too. Clutch feels near new & and the gearbox is notably smooth and lacking in any of the often found signs of synchro wear found on these cars. We test drove this example for around 200 kms and found no faults to report at all. Car pulls strongly from just under 3,000 rpm with power climbing all the way through the power range and the cams make the engine sing well at top of the rev range. Running at 1.0 bar this car will produce close to 430 bhp whilst offering tremendous levels of braking and road holding. Make no mistake - this is a car that will send your adrenalin levels rocketting if you drive it to full potential.
The costs of making a car like this from scratch would far exceed £25,000 in addition to the cost of the car, which would be around £20,000 for the base to source & import from Japan in today's money. We're proud to offer this unique example as one of the finest examples we'll stock this year. Currently stored at our facility in Japan, this car is ready for prompt shipping.
